The Philosophy Behind Nani® | Design for Dogs and Their Humans
Can a Bond Take Shape?
Every project begins with an observation.
For me, it began by sharing everyday life with my little dog, Forrest. It wasn't a defining moment that inspired me, but the quiet repetition of a simple ritual: our daily walk.
It is during that walk that the connection between a person and their dog becomes visible. A silent language of small gestures, exchanged glances, and mutual attention. A relationship that develops naturally, one step at a time.
That observation led to a question: could dog accessories be designed to express that connection?
The answer became Nani – Made to Belong Together®.
Not a single product, but a coordinated design system composed of a leather harness, leash, bracelet, and complementary jewelry—each created to exist in dialogue with the others.
That is why I design objects that belong not to a season, but to a relationship. Objects made to be part of everyday life, to gain meaning over time, and to tell the same story year after year.
This philosophy guides every Nani collection.
Because design is about more than creating objects.
It has the power to make relationships visible.
